Co-op Program Work Placement Leads to Higher Paying Jobs

University students who take co-op work placements while pursuing a bachelor’s degree are rewarded with higher paying jobs and lower unemployment rates when they graduate, says a Council of Ontario Universities report.

In the near future 60 per cent or more of undergrads will likely take part in co-op or other experiential learning placement. The hands-on approach of has increased dramatically over the past few years and has spread from health and engineering to the arts and social sciences.
