Teen Hopes to Make Big Changes to BC Ed

“Anjali Vyas is 19 years old and already on to big things: She spent six months last year in Finland under contract with the B.C. Ministry of Education to complete a research project about how teachers are trained, and now she is sharing that information with education leaders across the province.

Soon after Vyas graduated from Stelly’s Secondary in Saanichton, she was deejaying at a friend’s wedding when she met Rick Davis, superintendent of achievement with B.C.’s Ministry of Education. The two talked about Vyas’s passion for education and her idea to go to Finland to study its education system.”
